Ultrasound Medical and Industrial Laboratory (UMIL)
Description
The Ultrasound Medical and Industrial Laboratory (UMIL) works on developing Ultrasound-based techniques for both medical and industrial applications.
Some of the ongoing research in the UMIL includes:
- Transcranial focused ultrasound and holograms for brain therapy.
- Molecular ultrasound imaging: photoacoustic imaging and magneto-motive ultrasound Imaging.
- Lensing and vortex beams for biomedical ultrasound imaging and theraphy.
- Ultrasonic technology applied to odontology and ophthalmology.
- Ultrasound industrial applications.
The UMIL is part of the Instituto de Instrumentación para Imagen Molecular (i3M), a research centre of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). The UMIL is located at the Ciutat Politècnica de la Innovació, in València, Spain.
